Kapok pods on a tree bursting with fluffy kapok

All About Kapok

What is Kapok?

Kapok (pronounced ‘KAY•PAWK’) is a highly sustainable fiber that comes from the seed pods of the Kapok tree, which grows rain-fed in tropical regions, including the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America. It's lighter than cotton and has a supportive, fluffy feel.

Kapok is Sustainable

As a vegan alternative to down, Kapok is cruelty free and highly renewable, as it's harvested from seed pods – no trees are harvested.

Kapok is Clean & Safe

Free of dangerous toxins and harmful chemicals, Kapok is hypoallergenic and great for people with skin sensitivities. It naturally repels dust mites, which are a common allergen in pillows.

Kapok Reduces Waste

Closing the loop on environmental waste even further, Kapok is highly compostable and biodegradable – just the way mother nature intended it to be. The seed pods naturally decompose on their own.

White sap being harvested from a rubber tree

All About Latex

What is Natural Latex?

Natural latex is considered one of the most renewable resources on the planet. It's made from the milky sap of the rubber tree, which grows rain-fed in tropical rainforests.

Latex is Sustainable

When sustainably grown, harvested, and processed, the rubber tree remains standing while the milky latex sap is extracted using an age-old tapping method, like maple trees being tapped for maple syrup. Because it's natural, this latex is organic and doesn't contain any harmful chemicals.

Latex is Clean & Safe

All-natural latex is safe and free from any dangerous chemicals, like pesticides or formaldehyde, making it hypoallergenic and clean, unlike artificial, synthetic latexes.

Latex Reduces Waste

Natural latex is biodegradable and doesn't pollute air, soil, or water when it returns to the earth from whence it came. Natural latex comes from the rubber tree.
